 | How are your bottles different from other 'metal' bottles on sale?
Consumers need to be careful because there are a lot bottles made from Aluminum. Aluminum is not safe to have direct content with beverages. They are lined with an epoxy or ceramic. If that lining is compromised because of a dent for example, the linings can crack and the epoxy is a plastic coating which could leach toxins(BPA). These are harmful to your body. Stay with stainless steel bottles from botl! |
 | Why use a stainless steel drinking container instead of polycarbonate?
Stainless Steel water bottles are an attractive alternative to polycarbonate or lacquer lined aluminum drinking bottles, both of which contain varying amounts of biphenyl-A (BPA), a building block chemical necessary to make polycarbonate containers. There are increasing levels of scientific and consumer concern about the health risks posed by BPA, a known endocrine disruptor that mimics the human hormone estrogen. An increasing number of studies and accompanying media reports on BPA, have detailed concerns based on recent “low-dose” studies which postulate that polycarbonate containers could be leaching BPA into liquids and foods. In April 2008, Health Canada declared Bisphenol A (BPA) a dangerous substance, making it the first regulatory body in the world to note BPA endangers people and the environment. In conclusion, stainless steel drinking containers are a proven alternative to polycarbonate bottles for consumers who have concerns about BPA. |
 | Why we are sure Stainless steel is safe?
All of our bottles are made from food grade 304 stainless steel. This is the highest grade of stainless steel, specifically designed for food, dairy and beverage industries. Stainless steel is easy to clean, inert, robust, hygienic and it does not deteriorate. There are many articles linking plastics to health problems and the devastating impact which plastic is having on our environment. By not buying disposable drinks containers or plastic sports bottles and sticking to botl will remove the risk of potential health defects and save yourself money.

 | How environmentally friendly is stainless steel?
Stainless steel is recyclable and a large proportion of the stainless steel used is recycled. Our stainless steel is made from naturally occurring materials and produced in China by our environmentally responsible manufacturer. If at any time you want to dispose of your botl you can discard directly into your recycle bin.
The amount of plastic disposed of in the world is a huge problem that scientists are only just able to quantify. By reducing your plastic consumption you are saving oil, energy, money, your families health and ultimately the planet. |
 | Can I put hot liquids in the botls?
No. They will burn your fingers. We will be adding vacuum sealed/ double walled stainless steel bottles soon and these will be safe for hot liquids. |
 | What type of plastic is our cap made from?
Polypropylene (PP) #5, food grade safe plastic. |
 | What is BPA?
Bisphenol A (BPA) is a chemical used in the production of plastic and polycarbonate bottles and liners. BPA, an environmental estrogen, can leak out of these bottles and container linings into your food or drink. A growing number of scientists are concluding, from some animal tests, that exposure to BPA in the womb raises the risk of certain cancers, hampers fertility and could contribute to childhood behavioral problems such as hyperactivity. |
